Around 400,000 knee and 200,00 hip operations are carried out in Germany every year; rinsing and cleaning the operating area to remove organic residues is part of these procedures. The systems used for this are powerful flushing/suction devices, equipped with motors, circuit boards, copper wires and other technical components that are powered by several batteries. However, another aspect is relevant for the purchasing and management of a clinic: the production of the systems in Germany ensures more security - both in terms of reliable and punctual delivery as well as that of the product and its components themselves.
“The Blue Lavage® System is a Class IIa medical device and of course has CE certification issued by a notified body in Europe. In addition, the plastic used is biocompatible in accordance with DIN 10993, so it is guaranteed not to cause any reactions in the event of physical contact. The hygiene rules for the reusable parts of the BlueLavage® were checked in a German, accredited laboratory," explains the managing director of UTK Solution GmbH Olaf Thiessies and adds: "The complete production in Germany also makes us independent of international markets, which is why we did not have any delivery bottlenecks during the Corona crisis, for example. “

Compared to other systems that weigh up to 800 grams, the BlueLavage® is significantly lighter and therefore safer to handle.
