How BlueLavage® works

Einlegen der Antriebseinheit ("DriveUnit") in das Handstück der Pulse Lavage — 1. The circulating nurse inserts the rechargeable DriveUnit into the BlueLavage® handpiece while the scrub nurse holds it in place. The blue, sterile insertion aid ensures sterility during this process.

Nutzung des Lavage-Systems — 2. The insertion aid is removed and the lid of the handpiece is closed. The BlueLavage® is then used for intraoperative irrigation and cleaning of the surgical site.

Herausnehmen der wiederaufladbaren DriveUnit — 3. After completion of the procedure, the circulating nurse removes the rechargeable DriveUnit, which contains all electronic components, from the BlueLavage® single-use handpiece.

Wiederaufladen der Bluelavage-DriveUnit — 4. The DriveUnit is cleaned by wipe disinfection and recharged. As a result, no electronic waste enters the hospital waste stream, saving significant amounts of CO₂ and disposal costs.
